Forensic Toxicology

 Human Performance in Forensic Toxicology Service - 

Blood samples can be submitted for alcohol/volatile substances/drugs testing, as the sample will be analyzed for alcohol and other drug receptors quantitatively (upon request). Urine samples will be subjected to qualitative analysis only. For blood samples, we provide qualitative and quantitative analysis (subject to applicable standards).

Workplace Drug Testing Service -

Workplace drug testing is the process of monitoring employees to detect the use of illegal drugs and prescription medications to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees, in addition to enhancing creativity and productivity. Urine/blood samples are subjected to comprehensive screening/specific compound monitoring upon request. Alcohol and volatile substance testing in blood will also be provided.

Counterfeit Pharmaceutical Analysis Service -

Pharmaceutical drugs will be monitored for active ingredients according to the label specifications through methods referred to in the US/British Pharmacopoeia using HPLC-DAD. ​ ​



Forensic Genetics

DNA Sequencing Service -

The center offers Sanger sequencing services to all researchers. We aim to deliver guaranteed quality results within 14 days of receiving DNA samples.

Mitochondrial DNA Analysis Service -

The center provides mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) analysis service to all researchers. We aim to deliver guaranteed quality results within 20 days of receiving DNA samples.

  • Human Hair Analysis for DNA Suitability

Quality Management

  • The Quality Management Section manages quality assurance and control within the Forensic Science Laboratories.
  • The Quality Manual contains the policies and procedures of the laboratory's quality management system.
  • The Quality Manual covers the requirements specified in the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 guidelines, which is the focal point for the quality assurance program.
  • The Quality Manual, Safety and Security Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual, and Personnel Training Manual constitute a disciplined program to facilitate accreditation requirements regarding competence, integrity, and consistent operation of the facilities in the laboratory.
  • All personnel and researchers are responsible for performing work (conducting tests, analyzing samples/items received for testing/examination) within the policies and procedures of the laboratory's established quality assurance program. ​
