​Master of Science in Forensic Evidence

It provides specialized applied knowledge and skills in the fields of forensic genetics, forensic chemistry, and toxicology, which leads to scientifically and practically qualifying staff working in forensic laboratories and toxicology analysis by internationally approved standards, and helps deepen knowledge of legal aspects and obtain expert certification. Related to forensic science practices.​



1 Special admission requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in forensic sciences or natural sciences (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, clinical laboratory sciences) or any specialty equivalent to the previous majors.
  • Obtaining a score of no less than 5 on the IELTS test or equivalent standard English language test.
  • Conducting a personal interview.

  • Interpreting the results of DNA analysis and preparing technical reports on them with high efficiency.
  • Using genetic statistics to determine the discriminating power of biological evidence.
  • Applying advanced methodologies and techniques in extracting and multiplying criminal DNA and determining its genetic features.
  • Applying scientific foundations in forensic DNA analysis.
  • Scientific interpretation of analysis results and preparation of technical reports on them with high efficiency.
  • Applying modern methodologies and techniques in the analysis of forensic toxins, drugs, explosive residues, and fire accelerants.
  • Familiarity with the scientific foundations of extracting and analyzing toxins, drugs, and chemical samples at crime scenes.
  • Implementing forensic laboratory analyzes in accordance with international standards for forensic laboratories.
  • Applying systematic procedures in examining and storing crime scene samples.

Forensic sciences are one of the most important applied forensic sciences that the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences has given attention to since its inception. This is because they are the most important tool in criminal investigation and the administration of justice. The university began with the name "Forensic Laboratories", and then the College of Forensic Sciences. Recently, and in line with the university's strategy and ongoing development projects, these sciences have been placed under the umbrella of the College of Criminal Justice in an independent department that seeks to provide outstanding academic programs in the Diploma, Master's, and Doctorate levels in various specializations of forensic sciences. This is aimed at professionally and academically qualifying experts and workers in the criminal field in a way that enhances their scientific and practical capabilities.
