​​Alabd Alsalam holds a Master's degree in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom. He served as a lecturer at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University from 2014 to 2023. His research interests include the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf region, modern Arab history, archaeology, and state-society relations in Middle Eastern countries. ​
