​​With a background in statistics, Dr. Ismail previously led the Statistics Unit at the Security Research Center. He has extensive experience in academia, having lectured at the College of Food and Agriculture Sciences at King Saud University (2004-2022). Dr. Ismail has contributed to numerous national projects with government entities such as the Agricultural Development Fund, the General Investment Authority, the Ministry of Agriculture, and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, alongside providing statistical research and field consultancy. He has peer-reviewed publications from King Saud University and has been recognized with awards such as the King Saud University Award for Scientific Excellence (2017) and the Abdullah Al-Sulaiman International Award for Scientific Creativity. ​​
