The introduction of this unique program aims to support the international and regional trend in building the police of the future and reducing crimes through the use of artificial intelligence techniques, which contributes to the implementation of the strategies and visions of the security authorities based on best practices concerned with developing and maximizing the use of emerging technologies in the security fields. The significance of this specialized program is drawn from the increasing prevalence of sophisticated security threats and the evolution of criminal methodologies based on AI and emerging technologies. Therefore, it is imperative for security and law enforcement agencies, among others, to cultivate expertise in AI and security, empowering students with the requisite skills to analyze intricate data patterns, identify anomalies, and devise intelligent security solutions aimed at combating emerging forms of crime. Graduates will emerge well-prepared to confront emerging challenges, mitigate risks associated with these advanced criminal activities, and safeguard critical infrastructure against AI-driven crimes. This program will serve as a crucial conduit in addressing sophisticated security threats by bridging the gap between AI and security. Stemming from the university's role in preparing Arab leaders and experts in the security fields, the establishment of the Master's Degree in Security Artificial Intelligence program aims to prepare specialists in the field of security artificial intelligence to meet the needs of the beneficiary entities.

1 Special Admission Requirements

‬ Holding a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Obtaining a minimum score of 5.0 in the IELTS language test or its equivalent in standard English language tests.
Successful completion of a personal interview.

Graduation Requirements

Successfully completing the required program hours with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 out of 5.00 within the specified timeframe necessary to fulfill the requirements for obtaining the academic degree.

Program Classification

The process of adding the program to the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations is currently underway.

Implementing high ethical and professional standards through the responsible application of artificial intelligence and its associated technologies.
Crafting AI-driven applications to support police agencies and proactively deter criminal activities.
Assessing and managing risks linked with AI applications in security, including the identification of potential vulnerabilities, conducting threat assessments, and deploying risk mitigation strategies.
Identifying adversarial attacks targeting AI systems and exploring defensive mechanisms and techniques to fortify the security and resilience of AI models.
Exploring the latest practical implementations of artificial intelligence in security and law enforcement. Gaining proficiency in the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of big security data from diverse sources to extract actionable insights and facilitate decision-making processes.
Establishing a robust foundation in artificial intelligence for security and law enforcement agencies, encompassing machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and other pertinent AI technologies.

This is because they are the most important tool in criminal investigation and the administration of justice. The university began with the name "Forensic Laboratories", and then the College of Forensic Sciences. Recently, and in line with the university's strategy and ongoing development projects, these sciences have been placed under the umbrella of the College of Criminal Justice in an independent department that seeks to provide outstanding academic programs in the Diploma, Master's, and Doctorate levels in various specializations of forensic sciences.
