Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (the academic body of the Arab Interior Ministers Council), represented by His Excellency Dr. Abdulmajeed  Abdullah Al-Banyan, President of the University, participated in the activities of the 51st session of The meeting was held during the period 6-8 July at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport in the new city of El Alamein in the Arab Republic of Egypt., The main topic of the session was "Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and the Role of Arab Business Institutions"  It was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, and was attended by His Excellency Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, His Excellency Minister Plenipotentiary Mohamed Khair Abdelqader, Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Unions, and His Excellency Prof. Ismail Abdelghaffar President of the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport. Heads and directors of specialized Arab organizations, Arab federations, and Arab funding institutions also participated in the meeting.

 

The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation, coordination and exchange of experiences, expertise and best practices among institutions of oint Arab action to activate work mechanisms, organize joint efforts and increase their effectiveness.

 

The program of the committee meeting included many themes, most notably of which were 'digital transformation,' 'recent trends in artificial intelligence and their future prospects in the Arab region.'

 

It is worth noting that the session discussed, among its items, the results of the work of the committees that had been formed in the previous meeting, including the results of the meeting of the committee concerned with studying the proposal submitted by the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council regarding the establishment of a team of Arab experts in the security, legal, technical and other fields relating to combating cybercrime.
