The workshop “Nuclear Security Culture for Leaders and Decision Makers," organized by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS)  in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate of Jordan and the Center for Science and Security Studies at King's College London, was launched in Amman on Sunday, October 25, 2021, , . It will last until October 26, 2021.

 

55 specialists including leaders, officials and experts in the military, academic and related security sectors from 13 countries participated in the workshop..

 

The opening session was attended by the Vice President for External Relations of Naif Arab University Mr. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Harfash, , Director's Assistant for Administration and Logistical Support, Public Security Directorate in Jordan Brigadier General Dr. Mutasem Abu Shatal, and Director of the Center for Science and Security Studies at King's College London, Dr. Hassan Al-Bahtimi.

 

The workshop aims to identify the applied concepts of nuclear security, to discuss the best practices in the field of nuclear security for leaders and decision makers, to work towards increasing the level of awareness of the main issues of nuclear security and exchange expertise and international knowledge and experiences in the field of nuclear security.
