Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the High Commission for Industrial Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (the host country) launched at NAUSS campus the first phase of the " Industrial Security and Critical Facilities" Diploma Program in cooperation and partnership with the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic, in the presence of His Excellency the President of (NAUSS) Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-banyan, the Secretary General of the High Commission for Industrial Security Colonel Engineer Adel. Zayed Al-Otaibi, and the Deputy Minister for Development and Excellence at the Ministry of Energy, Chairman of the Institute's Board of Trustees Eng. Ahmed Al-Zahrani.

 

The partnership agreement was signed by Engineer Ali bin Hussein Al-Saif, Vice President of Training at(NAUSS) , and Prof. Bassam Al-Bokhari CEO of the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic.

 

The diploma program, which is the first product of the strategic partnership between (NAUSS)and the Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic, aims to respond to Saudi vision 2030 by providing facilities with Saudi qualified personnel, developing a career culture and professional passion in the security domain, qualifying a workforce that has the mentality and the sense of security, and promoting behavior , discipline and communication skills, supporting local content strategy,  in addition to reducing the training costs of establishments.

 

The program will seek to provide trainees with basic technical skills in industrial security in its various domains, including security, safety and fire protection during the training period of (18) months; the program was prepared according to international standards in the domain of industrial security and labor market requirements. The program will also be reviewed with the aim of developing it through periodic follow-up of the outcomes of the training curricula to keep abreast of developments and changes in this area.

 

It should be noted that this program is the first building block for a number of future, diverse and specialized programs in the areas of industrial security, in accordance with the strategy of improving and developing the security and safety sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
