HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud sponsors the graduation ceremony of the 39th batch of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, sponsored this evening the university annual graduation ceremony of 216 male and female students from the 39th class, at the university campus in Riyadh.

 

During the ceremony planned for this occasion, His Excellency the President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Banyan delivered a speech in which he highlighted the academic programs for rehabilitating security expertise and facing urgent security challenges, such as organized and cross-border crime and illicit drug trafficking. HE also stressed the importance of training courses in the domains of security leadership, crisis management, industrial security, and the security of sensitive facilities, noting that, since the adoption of its strategic plan, the university has implemented more than 150 training programs in which 3,500 trainees participated.

 

His Excellency stressed that the achievements the university has made were possible because of the grace of God and then the great support that the university has received from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense - may Allah safeguard them.

Moreover, her Excellency Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna Dr. Ghada Waly gave a speech in which she commended the academic, research and training programs offered by Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, stressing that education and training are the cornerstone for the development of security institutions and criminal justice systems, at a time security and criminal threats are rapidly evolving and resulting in new challenges.

 

During the ceremony, His Royal Highness and the attendees watched a documentary presentation on the university progress and stages of development and on the partnerships that the university has concluded during the past period with Arab, regional, and international institutions and organizations, in addition to the university academic programs that spring from the university strategic plan to meet the needs of the Arab security services.

 

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the graduates' speech was given, and the results of the 39th batch of university graduates for the academic year 2020-2021 were announced. The number of graduates was 216 students from 8 Arab countries, representing the doctoral, master's and higher diploma levels.

The ceremony was attended by several Excellencies, representatives of security authorities in Arab and regional countries, and representatives of international organizations related to combating terrorism, drugs, and crime.
