Brief Biography

Executive Director of the Center of Cybercrimes and Digital Forensics at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS). In 2022, Dr Al-Morjan has been selected to be the Co-Coordinator of the INTERPOL Global Academy Network and Chair of the ITU Center of Excellence, Arab region. He was advisory board member at the Crime Research Centre (CRC), Ministry of Interior (MOI) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he spent two years on secondment as a Senior Advisor at the CRC and established the Tech-crimes and Research Division as a part of the the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 project to reduce cyber-enabled crimes.



Scientific and Professional Experience:

  • Prior to joining NAUSS, he served as the Head of the Security Systems and Information Technology Department at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.

  • He has published numerous research articles in high-ranking journals in the fields of cybercrimes and online financial fraud.

  • He is a member of the INTERPOL Expert Group on the use of the Metaverse in security fields.

  • He holds multiple professional certifications, including the EC-Council's Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) certification obtained in 2009.

  • He has investigated over 800 cybercrimes, fraud, and impersonation cases. ​
