​​​​​​​​​Master’s Program in Law Enforcement

The program assists security personnel acquire the expertise to accurately interpret legal texts and navigate complex criminal proceedings. It offers essential legal training tailored to their duties, ensuring they are well-prepared to fulfill their roles effectively in law enforcement. This improves their ability to combat crime and apprehend offenders, ultimately reducing its prevalence.​



1 Special Admission Requirements:

  • Holding a bachelor's degree in law (regulations) or any field deemed cognitively relevant to law enforcement by the admissions committee.
  • Successful completion of a personal interview.

​ Graduation Requirements

Successfully completing the required program hours with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 out of 5.00 within the specified timeframe necessary to fulfill the requirements for obtaining the academic degree.

Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations - Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.​

2 Program Objectives:

  • Improving the application of contemporary methods, tools, and techniques for law enforcement and crime prevention within the framework of legal regulations.
  • Empowering security personnel to identify key aspects of criminal activities within penal regulations, including their components, penalties, and cases of nullity in criminal law enforcement.
  • Enhancing understanding of diverse substantive and procedural laws associated with criminal activities.
  • Training leaders and specialists with expertise in criminal law and its enforcement.

3 Expected Learning Outcomes:

  • Deducing the causes of crime and ways to prevent it, as well as the modern rules of penal treatment in accordance with human rights
  • Proficiently executing criminal investigation procedures and lawful actions in criminal cases, including the implementation of judicial orders and international legal assistance requests.
  • Identifying cases of nullity in criminal law enforcement, efficiently formulating criminal reports, managing them effectively, assessing criminal risks, skillfully judging suspects according to procedural principles, and ensuring the legitimacy of criminal judgments.
  • Applying modern means in law enforcement, including artificial intelligence techniques, conducting modern criminal investigation procedures with high efficiency, utilizing contemporary forms of criminal evidence, and understanding their significance in criminal proof.
  • Analyzing the most important forms of discretionary crimes (Ta'zir crimes) and emerging crimes in penal regulations, their elements, and penalties.
  • Drawing comparison among international crimes, organized crimes, and international crimes of terrorism, categorizing various forms of organized crimes, discussing the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and trial guarantees, and comparing modern means of criminal law enforcement.
  • Extracting and analyzing investigation report data, its conditions and procedures, differentiating it from evidential procedures and final investigation procedures, international and security cooperation in criminal matters, discussing public office crimes, and exercising effective security administrative leadership.
  • Efficiently applying criminal seizure and criminal investigation procedures in law enforcement and within the competent authority.
  • Identifying the factors and causes leading to crime, executing punishments, and emphasizing the importance of criminal seizure in criminal law enforcement and its application within the framework of procedural legitimacy and human rights.
