​​​​​​​Master of Arts Program in Criminal Law and Forensic Science

It contributes to the preparation of specialized cadres capable of dealing with and combating all criminal phenomena, reducing them in all legal or social forms, and introducing the field of criminal law, criminal sciences, comparative criminal laws, and Islamic criminal legislation.​



1 Special admission requirements

  • Obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Law (Regulations), and the following majors may be accepted (Sharia and Islamic Studies, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Administrative Sciences, Security Sciences, Military Sciences) provided that the supplementary semester is passed with Oh With a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.50 out of 5.00.
  • Conducting a personal interview.


2 Program Goals

  • Keeping pace with modern developments in the field of criminal law and its potential contribution to serving Arab society with the aim of meeting needs and aspirations
  • Developing quantitative and qualitative scientific research skills and intellectual and critical skills in the field of criminal law and criminal sciences
  • Establishing the procedural principles and foundations according to which criminal proceedings are conducted
  • Deepening knowledge of criminal phenomena and methods of combating them to ensure the achievement of prompt justice
  • Preparing expertise and qualified cadres in the field of criminal law and developing their legal capabilities

3 Learning outcomes expected from the programme

  • Preparing research and studies in the field of criminal law and criminal sciences using scientific methodologies and providing consultations in this field.
  • Drafting arrest reports and taking criminal investigation procedures with high skill.
  • Analyzing criminal texts related to information, terrorist, and organized crimes and their various forms, especially transnational crimes, and the judicial rulings related to them, in a sound scientific analysis.
  • Deducing the causes of crime from an organic, psychological, and biological perspective, the victim’s role in it, and the criminal description of it.
  • Identifying the essential features and modern methods of the rules of criminal evidence and the foundations on which they are based in depth, considering comparative criminal systems.
  • Diagnosing and analyzing international criminal problems and issues of a cyber and transnational nature and developing solutions to them.
  • Interpreting advanced legal principles and theories specialized in the branches of criminal law, criminal sciences, and international judicial cooperation mechanisms.
  • Interpretation and application of criminalization and punishment texts and the justification of criminal rulings on various criminal cases based on theoretical and practical legal knowledge and practices.
  • Comparison between the stages of criminal procedures, analysis of the criminal case, and elements of the criminal ruling.
  • Knowledge of the field of criminal law, criminal sciences, comparative criminal laws, and Islamic criminal legislation
