Brief Biography​

Syed delivers lectures in the field of forensic drug examination, providing expertise to drug testing laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Interior throughout the kingdom. He advises on analytical techniques, accreditation requirements, and sample collection and preparation techniques.

Scientific and Professional Experience:

  • Possesses over 25 years of experience in workplace drug testing and performance examination, a component of forensic drug examination.

  • His expertise primarily focuses on GC-MS, GC-MSMS, LC-MSMS, and GC-Headspace techniques.

  • Received formal training from Agilent Technologies in Atlanta and Houston, USA, and the Research Institute for Chromatography, Kortrijk, Belgium.

  • Served as Head of the Toxicology Department at the Security Forces Hospital and supervised toxicology at King Fahad National Guard Hospital.

  • Worked in prestigious government health institutions in Riyadh, such as Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Security Forces Hospital, and King Fahad National Guard Hospital.

  • Contributed to training numerous graduate and undergraduate students, playing a key role in equipping them with laboratory skills necessary for drug analysis.

  • Played a pivotal role in establishing the toxicology laboratory at the Security Forces Hospital in 2000.
