Brief Biography

Dr. Lee holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Security and a Ph.D. in Digital Forensics from Korea. He has successfully executed numerous research projects and, as the Director of the Department of Cybersecurity at the South Korean Government Data Center, has played a pivotal role in improving information protection policies, enhancing incident response capabilities, and leading computer emergency response team (CERT).He has experience in supervising significant cyber incident response centers. Dr. Lee has worked as a digital forensic expert at Korea's largest law firm, “Kim and Chang”, collaborating with experts from various fields. He is experienced in responding to well-known cyber security incidents covered by the media, such as: hacking incidents in financial institutions and leaks of personal information from global banks and major credit card companies. He possesses the ability to aid in comprehending cybercrime through the analysis of litigation cases associated with cybercrime, as well as sharing his expertise on managing digital evidence.

Scientific and Professional Experience:

  • Holds a Ph.D. in Digital Forensics, specializing in Information Security, for the first time in Korea in 2011.

  • Held the position of the Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), overseeing the security of the Korean Government Data Center and directing the Security Operations Center in responding to hundreds of thousands of cyberattacks daily.

  • Worked as a digital forensic expert at Korea's largest law firm, “Kim and Chang”.

  • Collaborated with experts from various fields.

  • Experienced in responding to well-known cyber security incidents covered by the media, such as hacking incidents in financial institutions, computer network failures, and leaks of personal information from global banks and major credit card companies.
