Brief Biography

Mr. Ali is an expert in latent fingerprint examination. He served as the Head of the Latent Fingerprint Division (LFP) and a Quality Assurance Supervisor at the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) in Lahore for 13 years. He received training from the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office and the Cleveland Police Department in the United States during 2009-2010.

Scientific and Professional Experience:

  • Holds a Master's degree in the Philosophy of Chemistry.

  • Played a key role in the installation, training, and verification of the latest ​automated fingerprint identification system at PFSA.

  • Actively engaged in continuous professional development through managing and attending training and competencies programs, and seminars.

  • Active member of the International Association for Identification.

  • Presented a poster on fingerprint forgery at the Impression, Pattern, and Trace Evidence Symposium (IPTES), August 25-27, 2015, in Texas, USA.

  • Contributed to the development of quality assurance/control and technical protocols for accreditation in the Latent Fingerprint Division (LFP).
