Prince Naif and the University
Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) has received substantial attention and support from His Royal Highness Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah have mercy on him. The University was privileged to bear his name, a tribute and acknowledgment by the Arab Interior Ministers Council for his invaluable contributions to advancing and enhancing the scientific and practical aspects of collaborative security efforts. This acknowledgment also recognized his tangible role in monitoring the development of the University's programs and initiatives since its establishment in 1978.
His Royal Highness chaired the Supreme Council of the University from 1980 to 2012, overseeing a significant expansion in its educational programs and training activities, thereby elevating its status.
Throughout this period, HRH consistently extended his unwavering support and gracious patronage to the University, closely overseeing its programs and activities to ensure the fulfillment of its mission. His support was further supported by his brothers, Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Arab Interior Ministers, who were keen to appoint him as the Honorary President of the Arab Interior Ministers Council and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.
HRH established a tradition of attending the University's annual graduation ceremony since 1987, delivering inspiring speeches that served as guiding principles for the graduates and motivation for the University's staff to strive for excellence, innovation, and the enhancement of quality standards across its academic, research, and training endeavors. As a result, the University has emerged as a distinguished scientific institution not only within the Arab region but also on the global stage.
