Today in Cairo, the scientific seminar “The Role of Television and Radio Program Producers and How to Address Issues Related to Terrorism and National Security in the Media" was launched in Cairo, organized by the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences within the framework of its work program for the year 2022 AD, in cooperation with the Media and Communication Sector - the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information during The period from November 28-30 at the headquarters of the League of Arab States, in the presence of experts in the fields of media and combating terrorism from 15 Arab countries, the Center for Political and Strategic Studies, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
At the opening ceremony, Naif University Vice-Dean for External Relations Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Harfash explained that the seminar is organized in implementation of the Arab security strategies and plans, including the Arab media plan for security awareness and crime prevention, and the interim plans for the provisions of the Arab strategy to combat terrorism approved by the Council of Arab Interior Ministers. The scope of the strategic partnership between the institutions of joint Arab action under the umbrella of the Arab League, as well as the continuous cooperation with the technical secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, within which many activities were organized in the country of headquarters and abroad, where the university has the status of an observer member in the Council of Arab Ministers of Information, which assigned the Arabs the university Recently developed a media strategy to combat terrorism and extremism.
He pointed out that the seminar aims to identify issues related to terrorism and national security in the media, and to deal with new variables when making radio and television content and adapting when presenting it through new digital media, in addition to developing the capabilities of the participants from the producers of television and radio programs in dealing with terrorism issues, and reviewing Modern technology programs through which content is created, and also concerned with highlighting the quality of programs that serve moderation and address terrorism issues, clarifying the importance of international partnerships in dealing with terrorism issues, as well as discussing appropriate mechanisms to support security media cooperation.

It is noteworthy that Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, based on its being the scientific body of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers and the body entrusted with implementing the scientific part of the Arab security strategies, seeks through its academic, training and research programs and scientific activities to translate this interest in the subject of security media and its role in combating terrorism into a tangible reality. It contributes to strengthening the concept of intellectual security, which is one of the priorities of the university's programs, as the university was the first to adopt the concept of "security media" and the first to establish it, and it worked and is working to consolidate it through its scientific and training activities. and combating terrorism, as well as through its academic programs with the aim of qualifying specialists in this field. Qualifying specialists in a field that is becoming increasingly important in our time.
In the framework of the media and its role in crime prevention and the promotion of security in its comprehensive concept, the university has discussed through its faculties 99 master's and doctoral dissertations, held 19 scientific meetings and conferences, organized 29 training programs and 15 lectures, in addition to issuing 37 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 120 research and articles through Its scientific and media periodicals also participated in 11 regional and international events in this field.
