Objective:
The team aims to support law enforcement institutions in developing evidence-based policies to combat cross-border crimes of all kinds. It focuses on several priorities, including combating trafficking and illegal manufacturing of weapons, maritime piracy, and transnational human trafficking, as well as addressing cybercrime and its associated cyber border breaches. The team works to enhance cooperation among security authorities in various countries to combat transnational organized crime. Additionally, the team contributes to the development of techniques and strategies for border monitoring and control, finds alternatives to combating cross-border crime, and enhances international cooperation, information exchange, technical capabilities, and national legislation to combat cross-border crime effectively and sustainably.
